We at the Diamond L Guest Ranch are pleased to be able to provide you with a vacation full of wonderful memories. Our location amidst the Black Hills and a kind neighboring rancher allows us to offer rides through many different terrains: rolling meadows, pleasant valleys, mountainous peaks - and depending on your riding experience, we can offer more than the typical nose-to-tail riding that you might experience elsewhere.
Regardless of your riding ability, we pride ourselves on offering a safe, friendly vacation. We'll match you to the right horse, and we'll make sure to offer you a wonderful, magical experience.
Our rides are as diverse and interesting as the magnificent landscape we ride in. From high on mountain tops, with the whole world laid out at your feet, to valleys, canyons, wide open meadows, country lanes, or grassed-over logging roads made for loping - we have it all. And because we keep our guest numbers to a minimum, we can offer rides that may not be possible at larger guest ranches.
We feature two daily walking or loping trail rides taken in small groups. The entire morning can be
spent riding, or if you prefer, only an hour or so. Depending on the daylight, an evening ride after supper or a late
afternoon ride is always an option. We do have all day rides available - just ask! These rides leave around 9:30AM and return around 3:30PM. A sack lunch is provided.
If you have your own horse and want to bring it, you can do it here. (No stallions please.) We have 20X20 corrals for your horse that
open into a fenced pasture. From there it is a short walk to the tack-up area and the trails.
The rate is $125.00 per person per night, plus tax & gratuity. This rate includes your room, breakfast and supper; it also includes the
corral and pasture area for your horse. You must provide proof of current vaccinations and Coggins for your horse and you need to provide all of your
horse's feed. You are responsible for all your horse's needs while at the ranch. You are also responsible for cleaning your corral area before you leave, or you can
pay additional fees for corral clean up if you desire. We can also provide a sack lunch and/or guide for an additional fee.
We have trail maps of the Black Hills National Forest that borders the ranch. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact us
by phone or email. Reservations are required so plan ahead!
Please note that we do not have RV hook-ups.
