Updates on our Herd
First, welcome Kody to the Diamond L Ranch family! His picture is below (isn't he cute?) - he is a quarter horse gelding and he is about 10 years old. He
really seems to be happy in his new home and we are looking forward to introducing him to our trails.
Some of our "boys" are getting a little older and we want to get them some help with the "younger" boys. We were
lucky to find two more after Kody! The first (grey) is Scout, he is 14 years old and he lived in Casper. He has a really
good trot and is perfect for the beginner rider or a child. He is very friendly. The second fellow is Rudy. He is the sorrel
pictured below. As you can see, he has a kind face and he is a real people pleaser. He also came from Casper, is also 14, and
will be a great ride for everyone.
Windsor decided he really wanted to be a cowboy horse, so he's now owned by our neighbor Kelly. Windsor will
be working cattle on a regular basis - we know Kelly will take good care of him.
On a sad note, Ringo has gone to the big pasture in the sky. He was quite ill, and he will be greatly missed.
Update on Conner
We are happy to share that our grandson Conner is doing much better. He will celebrate his 1st
birthday May 17th and he is walking now and keeping his mommy and daddy even busier. We are so thankful for all of your
thoughts & prayers, Michael, Stacie & Katelyn want to thank you as well.
Welcome back, Alissa!
The 2010 Season is shaping up to be a good one. We are looking
forward to some warm weather and lots of riding, and we are pleased to tell you that Alissa Elderkin will be back with us
this season. We are very excited about that!
In July we will be hosting a family reunion. It will be the first time since Mike and Stacie's wedding
that we have had all our children and grandchildren together (there will be a lot of picture taking that week). Joining
us as well are all of Carolyn's brothers, sisters and most of their children and grandchildren, for a total of about 50.
It will be a great 4th of July week!!
We are excited for 2010 and hope you will join us!
